Phone Global
Controls settings for firmware/kernel upgrades, as well as HTTP configuration download options for phones.

| Allow Firmware Update |
Toggles if the Key Settings page for the phone will have a button to manually update the firmware.
The phone will display a message indicating it is upgrading. DO NOT UNPLUG THE PHONE WHILE THIS MESSAGE IS DISPLAYED ON THE PHONE. If you unplug a phone that is updating firmware while it is loading, there is a recovery process, but it is time consuming. Alternatively, there is a manual upload process in the phone's web page. Typically a phone will take ~10 min to perform the update but if the phone still displays the updating message after a long time (1 hr) on a kernel update. Please contact IPitomy technical support.

If you unplug a phone while the kernel is updating, the recovery process requires special hardware to load the file into the phone. Note that the kernel does not currently update automatically and if we release a new kernel, the best way to update is to enable the kernel button and ensure the phones that you are updating will not lose power. Yealink Global Phone Settings
- You now have the ability to set the password for all of the Yealink phones. Currently the default in Yealink Global Phone Settings is IPitomy956. You can change this setting.
- To show the current password press teh View Password button.
- The current password will show in a pop up box.
