HD Phone Firmware Release Notice - Package 1.8.52 - 6/04/2013

Firmware Versions

Bug Fixes

• Fixed issue where phones would not properly upgrade and pull configuration over HTTP.
• Fixed issue where DND soft key label would display even when disabled (function would not occur just display).
• Fixed issue with being unable to pass DTMF in 3-way call
• Fixed issue with phone being unable to place outbound calls when connectivity is restored after it has been disrupted briefly.

Known Issues

• Placing phones in DND while in a high traffic ring group can cause phones to lock up and need to be rebooted.  This issue occurs in previous firmware versions and will be fixed in a future update.  If you are experiencing this issue and wish to disable DND, you can edit the global phone template:
  • Find the section <calls><call
  • add the following to that section DNDSoftkeyEnable="0"
  • Save the template
  • Apply Changes
  • Reboot phones for immediate update to config, or allow them to update themselves at 1am
• Upgrading Firmware over HTTP (automatic updates) was broken.  This issue is present since 2.2.8.6 in v1 phones.    If you have remote phones that have upgraded to 2.2.8.6, you will need to disable firmware updates in those phones for them to function properly.  IPitomy has set up a TFTP server that you can use to more easily update phones.  If you set the Software Server URL to TFTP://hdupdate.ipitomy.com/  and check just the box for Auto Download Software and then press AutoProvision Now.  Your phones should update firmware to the latest release version.  After updating you can point the phones back to your PBX and future updates should now work.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed issue with Phone Provisioning on V2 phones.  Phones will no longer appear to default occasionally when downloading their configuration files.

Known Issues

• IP410v2 disable missed calls list function does not disable missed calls list.
• [Updated 5/8/13] We have discovered an uncommon issue which can make phone unable to make outbound calls.  A workaround for this is to go into the Global Phone template and edit the first user's settings under the first sipUser in sipUsers add:  SecondProxyServerAddress="192.168.1.249"  SecondDomainName="192.168.1.249".  Note you should change the IP address to your server IP address.  This issue effects V1 and V2 phones

Bug Fixes

• Fixed Timezone (DST change date) issues for all V2 Phone Hardware IP220, IP320v2, IP330v2, IP410v2.  Offset for US-Indiana-Starke now correct.
• Fixed issue in IP320v2 where 2 simultaneous calls were answered within 2-3 seconds.  Line key would not connect call.
• Resolved potential call collison issue with multiple calls (all models).
• Resolved hanging during configuration file updates (V1 models)
• DTMF now functions properly in 3 way call on V2 models

• Update: 2/19/13 - We are currently tracking a developing issue where some V2 phones that attempt to download their configuration will display "peer-to-peer".  When a phone is in this state, you need to change the configuration file in some way, so go to the page for editing phone keys and adjust an audio level or ringer volume.  Now press Save and Configure.  If the phone was still listed as OK on the top of the page, then this will cause the phone to reprovision.  If it has been some time since the phone was registered, then you will need to do Configure and Restart through the Auto-Discovery page.  Note that V2 phones will not update their configuration until you change the contents of the configuration file, so if you do not change phone settings you should not see this problem.  As a workaround for the issue and to prevent the issue from occurring during automatic updates at night you can change your global template
  • Under <Privisions>
        <privision
  • set Downloadconfig="0"
  • Setting this will allow you to still click "Save and Configure" to configure a phone's settings, phones will still download firmware and key settings at night as well, but the other settings are not updated automatically. 
  • If you have the issue with "Save and Configure" where your phone displays 'peer-to-peer', then try changing a value in the Audio section and then hit Save and Configure again, this should reconfigure your phone.
  • This modification should prevent any issues caused by the automatic nightly updates of configuration files.
  • Making this template modification will be something that you should undo once we release a firmware update to fix the issue.

IPitomy HD Phone Firmware Release Notes - Packages 1.8.29 11/19/2012

  • Fixed issue with Caller ID Name being lost after call was answered and 2nd call came in on some phone models

Note do not be alarmed if your phone upgrades twice. For V1 phones there is an intermediate upgrade that provides additional integrity checking on firmware upgrades that is installed first.

IPitomy HD Phone Firmware Release Notes Package 1.8-21 9/10/2012 

This update fixes a minor problem that cause 220's to not automatically upgrade their firmware.  The last release did not have any major fixes for IP220s so this should not have a major impact.  If you want to upgrade your IP220s immediately, click Check Now under Automated Firmware updates on the PBXSetup->Phone Global.

This updates software for IP210, IP410, IP320, IP330, and IP620 to 2.2.8.3-3648. IP220 and IP320v2 are updated to 2.2.7.9-2018

This updates software for IP210, IP410, IP320, IP330, and IP620 to 2.2.7.4-3503. IP220 and IP320v2 are updated to 2.2.7.7-1856

Note 1.8-15 corrects error in 1.8-14 and properly includes 2.2.7.4 for non-v2 phones.

1. Fixed issue with sending DTMF tones during early media. Now functions correctly on all phones.
2. Fixed issue with call transfers from Ring Group - if attended transfer was hung up before connecting (i.e. to perform a Blind transfer without pressing Blind key) then the call could fail to connect to voicemail if it went unanswered. This issue effected only Applicable Hardware listed below.
3. Fixed date display on IP320v2. Month and Day were reversed.
4. IP220v2 Incoming call display is now correctly formatted.

Bug Fixes

1. Issue where dialing slowly while receiving an incoming call could cause phone to reset is now resolved
2. Issue with firmware file corruption during update is resolved. Once a phone is running this software, if a phone is unplugged or interrupted while updating it’s firmware, it will attempt to re-download the firmware on reboot. Note that the server holding the firmware file (PBX ) needs to be accessible to the phone. If the phone fails to update it defaults back to 192.168.0.200 and can be recovered through telnet. However, rebooting the phone will cause the phone to attempt to download the firmware from it’s last known good location again.
3. Fixed issue with being unable to retrieve call on hold if other lines are ringing in. Now pressing the line key for call on hold, retrieves the call. Other incoming calls will continue to ring.
4. Various other minor fixes.
